Hurry Up and Wait

Alexandre Dumas Pere once said: "All human wisdom is summed up in two words - wait and hope."

Well writing friends, it appears as though I have the hoping part down to a science.  It's the waiting that is driving me slowly insane!

  1. Oh, how I feel your pain! I'm doing lots of waiting too, and it's driving me nuts. I'll hang in there if you will!

  2. I hear ya!! Crickets since January. Most of the time, I just keep myself busy and try not to think about the (publisher) submissions. But dang, when I'm reminded of how long it's been - and how long I probably still have to go - it's downright depressing! *sulks*

  4. Waiting is the hard part, but at least you have all of us here to wait with you and keep you distracted, I mean entertained!

  5. Thanks for all the encouragement guys. The writing community is full of the most supportive, creative, and encouraging people I have ever met.

  6. Hang on! You can do this!!! I know it's gotta be tough, I waited 5 1/2 weeks from a publishing house and heard back two weeks ago that they'd like me to revise & resubmit. Though that's good news I have sense then going slowly and slowly more insane.

  7. Hang in there. Just remember you're a lot closer now than you were, so that's a good thing. No news is good news, right?
