I had the great fortune of
being selected by Trisha as her mentee for the 2013/14 Pitch Wars contest. From
beginning to end, the experience far exceeded my expectations. Thanks to
Trisha's knack for getting to the heart of a scene, I trimmed away redundant
passages and overused words, ending up with a tighter, faster-paced novel. As
well, she helped smooth out a problematic story thread and increased the
overall marketability of my manuscript. And while she pushed me to work hard,
not once did I feel pressured to make changes I didn't agree with. In short,
Trisha didn't just make my sci-fi-thriller shine, she made me a better

Trisha Leaver has an excellent way of
connecting with your character or plot and finding ways to help you bring your
best work forward. She asks great questions to get you thinking as well as
offers suggestions for another way to phrase things to best get your ideas
across. I know my work is better for her having read it through!
